Accomodation on Mull can be tricky to find, especially during rally week. Most stuff gets booked up early, some places over a year in advance.
The Rally is centered around Tobermory, so that is very popular, but the route extends to Dervaig, Salen & Craignure, so anywhere between those locations means you will see some action.
The roads on the West side of the island and across the middle are the ones that we close for the event itself. The road between Tobermory and Bunessan via Salen & Craignure stays open throughout the weekend.
